Honey, I'm Home!
Hello Humans! I apologize for my lack of blogging -- it's been a very busy hole-digging season and I just haven't had the time! I have, however, dug several dozen holes, all with different smells and memories. For instance, there's one hole in the orchard that I thought would have moles in it. I didn't find any moles, but I did find a worm, and that was super fun! Then, there's another hole that I dug out by the pumpkin patch because Perry was digging holes and sometimes, well, we just dig holes. It keeps Perry off the streets.
I did want to do a little blogging to let you know what we have coming up at the orchard. Let me tell you, it's a lot. I get tired just hearing Perry talk about it. But you know how much he talks...
First, my Uncle Tim and Cousin Preston have started the Lavender Bee Company at Wea Creek Orchard to take care of the bees and process all of our honey! It has the word Lavender in the name because the bees will eat the lavender and poop out honey that tastes like lavender... or something. I don't really get all the ins and outs, but I know I love the bees and I love honey! It's especially delicious off of a child's finger! Bonus points for dirt!
With all the honey stuff going on, I have learned quite a bit about bees recently. Did you know they live in families like dogs and humans? They all work together like me and Perry to get things done. Also, they have these cute little bee butts:
The second cool thing we have coming up at the farm is The Sunflower Festival! I don't really understand time and dates, but apparently it's going to be held July 21st and 22nd. That seems like a ways away, but it'll come up really fast! You can still sign up to be a vendor -- especially if you vend homemade dog treats! With banana! And chicken! Perry tells me the link to sign up is on the website SO he showed me how to do a hyperlink on the computer: See
I'm the smartest dog alive!!!
Even if you aren't looking to be a vendor, you should still make plans to be at The Sunflower Festival! There will be food trucks, and slushies, and tractor rides, OH MY! Plus, I'll be there, sitting on laps and posing for photos! Just remember -- I do not need to be picked up. I am a strong and capable 10 pound beast. See you soon!
